Pridefest recap
Pridefest was so much fun! And wow, thanks to all my wonderful customers - what a fabulous day of sales! I needed that. It was a perfect, overcast (though muggy) summer day, and it was so great to see so many old friends and familiar faces. Of course, I forgot to ask someone to take my pic in my booth, but here's at least the booth, so you can see what it looked like - the garment rack and clothes in the pic on the right are off to the left of the tent, along the iron fence around the park. I was all sprawled out!
Now it's back in the car and back to Kentucky tomorrow. Such a fast trip, but more shows await me upon my return... as I've got FAT Friday and the Germantown Shotgun Festival upcoming this weekend in Louisville. I better get busy in the studio and replentish some stock!

Mixed media, Pridefest, Fat Friday & Germantown Fest
First, my mixed media pieces are now up for sale on the website!!!
Second, just a reminder that I'm heading down to New Orleans on Wednesday, arriving just in time for gay pride festivities in Washington Square Park on Sunday June 24th. I'll be vending at Pridefest, which last year was a very low-key, community event that was surprisingly enjoyable. They have a musical lineup this year, plus there'll be food and drink and lots of other vendors. So come have a picnic in the park with us, and do a little shopping while you're at it! I'll have a full tent set-up with all my stuff.
Lastly, I'll be back in Kentucky the last week of the month, just in time for the FAT Friday Trolley Hop on the 29th, where the Louisville Craft Mafia will be in the front parking lot of Pottery Rowe on Frankfort Avenue, from 6-10pm. Then, the very next day, we'll be at the Germantown Shotgun Festival, a day-long neighborhood festival in the street circle behind the Atomic Saucer, off Oak at Swan. The DCRG will be there, too, as well as many local and neighborhood businesses... it promises to be a fun day, so join us! Did I mention, it's free?!

"Home" FDL shirts at Why Louisville!
Hey, check out who's t-shirt is in the display window at the Why Louisville store:
Yep, that's my "Home" Fleur de Lis shirt on that mannequin! Pretty cool, huh? They are now officially and exclusively producing this version of this shirt, the dark blue on lighter blue, on American Apparel t's... and I still get a kickback from the sales, so definitely buy these puppies up if you like this color combo. They look great! Of course, I still have some of the army green ringers w/black ink in stock, too, for the same price. Plus some tanks, too. So many options! Big thanks to the Why Louisville store for their support and encouragement with this design.
I finally have the RIDE bicycle t-shirts up for sale on the site. I'll be adding in some tanks soon, too, whatever I've got in stock. Also, probably by tomorrow, I should have up the next batch of mixed media pieces I've been working on... and whenever I get back from New Orleans and finally retrieve all of my inventory down there, I'll have a few more up. So check back for updates in the coming weeks.
On sale this Sunday at the Crescent City Craft Market, hand-stencilled vintage/thrift store ties, a bargain at only $12 each!!! (I'll have them up for sale on the website by the end of the month, once I retrieve them from New Orleans.)

Highlands-Douglas Art Show recap
The Highlands-Douglas Art Show was fun and we had a mighty fine looking booth, thanks to my Mafia sister Suzanne's great trash score of some bamboo slat blinds in excellent condition! They served as the walls for our tent, but still let the breeze blow in, which was nice. I sold a few t-shirts and met some nice folks, and got in some good hangout time with the Mafia gals.
And here's a closeup of my clock display, so you can see the most recent batch:

Pre-Father's Day Crescent City Craft Market
New Orleans folks, I'll have a booth at the upcoming Crescent City Craft Market THIS Sunday, June 10th, from 2-6pm at the Big Top art gallery. I won't actually be there, sadly, but my Mafia sisters have agreed to sell my wares for me. I'll have a handful of clocks and t's, a few mixed media pieces, and hopefully some screen printed vintage ties (great for Father's Day!) if I get them done today and into the mail!! So stop by and do some Father's Day shopping with me and the rest of the New Orleans Craft Mafia (plus our guest vendors).
I will however be in New Orleans at the end of the month, just in time for gay pride festivities in Washington Square Park on June 24th. I'll be vending at Pridefest, which last year was a very low-key, community event that was surprisingly enjoyable. I think they actually have a musical lineup this year, plus there'll be food and drink and lots of other vendors. So come have a picnic in the park with us, and do a little shopping while you're at it!

New Orleans Homes and Lifestyles Magazine
One more thing I forgot to say: I'm in New Orleans Homes and Lifestyles Magazine this month (June)! Well, I mean, my orange/red "Home" Fleur de Lis Clock is, in their "Style" section. I'm very excited!!
