back in louisville...

Well, I'm back from my Mardi Gras visit to NOLA. It was a very fruitful and fun 12 days, including: my debut Crescent City Craft Market appearance; a well-attended meeting of New Orleans/Louisiana Etsy shop owners (and how-to filming session) with former-New Orleanian/current-Etsy cheerleader/"enabler"/employee Erin Haldrup; a thoroughly enjoyable and mutually beneficial meeting with the good folks from Storyville in Baton Rouge (who will now be carrying some of my shirts!); and lots of Carnival revelry with many much-missed friends and family (including my two favorite Mardi Gras parades, Muses and Zulu).

But now it's back to business here in the bluegrass. This coming week I'll be printing up a storm to restock the good folks over at the Why Louisville Store with "Home Fleur de Lis" shirts, and also to restock myself for next weekend's road trip with my sister mafiosas to Nashville for The Revolution of Craft: Urban Craft Extravaganza. Then the following week it's back to NOLA for a long weekend and the next installment of the Crescent City Craft Market. So stay tuned for more updates!

back in NOLA...

well, the Crescent City Craft Market was yesterday, and though I did pretty well, it was pretty slow. these things happen during Mardi Gras, cuz there's just way too much else going on. including, yesterday, Barkus - it's hard to compete with dogs in costumes!

oh well. but just FYI... I will still be in town through Ash Wednesday, so get in touch if you wanna have a private showing of my new stock. have shirts/clocks, will travel! i'm also going to be checking out Thrift City today, and some thrift stores in Baton Rouge tomorrow, so i might have some new fun blank stock to pretty up, as well.

other than that, I'm just looking forward to Thursday and the Muses parade. it's my favorite, and I can't wait to see the Big Easy Roller Girls skating down St. Charles!! Happy Carnival, everyone!

Carnival Time!

It's Carnival time, y'all! And for me, that means I'm heading down to New Orleans this weekend, arriving just in time to take part in the Crescent City Craft Market on Sunday from 2-6pm. See the flyer on my home page for all the details! In addition to new Valentine's themed "Love" clocks (scroll down for pics), I'll also have some limited edition smaller purple, green and gold Fleur de Lis clocks ($20), like those pictured below. They are on 45rpm singles, so only 7 inches wide. So cute! And I have a few new shirt designs, as well:

There aren't shopping cart links for these items yet, so you'll just have to come on Sunday to the market or get with me while I'm in New Orleans in order to purchase them. Or just email me and we can work something out.
